Dantés and Mariotti react to Baret’s expulsion

Dantés y Mariotti reaccionan a expulsión de Baret

SANTO DOMINGO.- Following the recent expulsion of Carlos Amarante Baret of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD)several leaders of the organization have expressed their opinions on the matter. one of them was Charlie Mariotti current Secretary General of the PLD.

Mariotti stated: “There is a disciplinary commission that is responsible for making these decisions.” In this context, he highlighted that this commission operates independently, even with regard to electoral procedures.

“Now I will inform myself about the suspension and the reasons for its decision,” added the PLD leader.

The Secretary General stressed that he will not judge the work of the PLD Ethics Commission, but promised to analyze the document that supported the decision to expel Baret.

“There are decisions that are painful, but I must carefully study the document that supported the accusation,” Mariotti concluded.

For his part, José Dantés Díaz, member of the Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), spoke about the recent expulsion of Carlos Amarante Baret. Dantés Díaz emphasized the need to carefully analyze the arguments that supported this decision.
