Danilo Medina is re-elected with 67.33% to continue presiding over the PLD

Santo Domingo.-The former president of the Republic (2012-2020) and current president of the opposition Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Danilo Medina, was re-elected this Sunday to continue leading that organization during the PLD elections within the framework of the X Ordinary Congress Reinaldo Pared Pérez.

Medina obtained 67.33% of the votes, while his only opponent, Francisco Domínguez Brito, obtained 32.67%.

The former president obtained 882 votes from the members of the central committee, while Domínguez Brito obtained 428.
