Former President Danilo Medina explained this Sunday morning that President Luis Abinader had no choice but to withdraw the Fiscal Modernization project, since he did not consult the people.
He said that in the face of the massive and overwhelming rejection of a people who could not resist being made “to pay a bill for a party in which they did not participate.”
The former ruler referred to the issue after participating in the voting in the elections of the PLD to elect the 183 new members of the Central Committee.
It is recalled that existing members of the Central Committee, as well as the presidents of grassroots committees, provincial and municipal committees, electoral constituencies, municipal districts, as well as those of registered intermediates who are registered in the Electoral Roll, have the right to vote. .
