The president of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Danilo Medina, yesterday began his announced national tour, with San Pedro de Macorís being the starting point, a scenario that he took advantage of to call on the PLD members to oppose in the streets and defend the PLD governments.
“Opposition work must be done in the streets. The leaders of the Party have to assume their role as such, they have to leave the premises to talk to the people and defend their cause,” said the former president of the Republic (2012-2020).
Last week, Danilo Medina announced that he would “throw himself” into the streets to tour the national territory in defense of the Dominican people and to ensure that the purple party, founded by Professor Juan Bosch, returns to power.
During his visit to the Sultana del Este, the former president urged those present to comply with the party guidelines, meeting periodically, evaluating the situation of the organization, but above all, working in the communities and identifying with their demands.
“Go out to the streets to work to defend the best work of Government that the Dominican Republic has had. People believe in those who promised and fulfilled and we promised and fulfilled. “We fulfilled beyond what was promised,” said Medina, while criticizing the decline of some services, giving as an example: the 911 emergency system.
