Danilo asks the people to reflect on the increase in crime

?

Santo domingo norte.- The former president of the Republic, Danilo Medina, called for “reflection and unity” in the face of the increase in crime and violence, during a swearing-in ceremony for thousands of new members of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).

The activity was held at the sports center on Charles de Gaulle Avenue, in Sabana Perdida, in the municipality of Santo Domingo Norte, in Villa Mella.

“Our country and our citizens need peace, serenity, calm and to stop living in fear. They need to regain confidence and calm, and for that the collaboration of everyone, absolutely everyone, is urgent,” said the former president.

The general secretary of that organization, Charlie Mariotti, participated in the act, who urged the militants of the purple party to take to the streets to defend the work of government of that political entity.

“Go out to the streets and the networks and do not be afraid, say anywhere I am a peledeista!” Mariotti exhorted.

He affirmed that the PLD remains firm and that no one will be able to destroy it, alluding to the president of the People’s Force, Leonel Fernández, who left the purple party several years ago.

“A former comrade who, does not know how to lose, divided our party and allied himself with the PRM (Modern Revolutionary Party, in power). He criticizes him sometimes, but they are allies, they are a pair”, assured Mariotti.
