Álvaro Paz de la Barra will not be able to run for mayor of Lima
Álvaro Paz de la Barra’s candidacy for the Mayor of Lima was disqualified, after a disposition of the Special Electoral Jury (JEE). The electoral body decided to declare inadmissible the inscriptions of the candidates of the Fe party in Peru for the Regional and Municipal Elections 2022 because the political organization has been suspended until after October 2.
“Once the consultation has been made in the registry of political organizations of the National Elections Jury, it is necessary that by the deadline for submitting applications for the registration of candidacies, Faith in Peru is in the process of being registered and would have acquired legal status to participate in this process.”, indicates the resolution of the JEE of Lima Oeste 2.
