His parents confirm progress after an experimental treatment and are grateful for the support that made it possible to continue the process.

Daniel’s story began in silence, in a hospital room, marked by negligence that changed his life forever. During childbirth, her mother, Laura, was not properly monitored. She went into arrest and, along with her son, lost about 20 minutes of oxygen while resuscitation maneuvers, CPR and an emergency cesarean section were performed. The consequences were devastating.
Daniel was diagnosed with severe cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities. For years, his life depended on a tracheostomy to breathe and a gastrostomy to feed. He does not see, does not hear, does not speak and requires numerous medications to survive. A tough diagnosis, which tested every physical, emotional and economic limit of his family.

However, Laura and Edgar, his parents, refused to give up. In the midst of uncertainty, they learned about an experimental treatment in India called Cytotronfocused on stimulating the brain and improving the quality of life of patients with severe neurological damage. Access to this procedure seemed almost impossible: the trip and treatment required raising between 20 and 25 million pesos.
That’s when something happened that transformed this story. From Tubarco and other places in the country, hundreds of people came together to support the cause. Followers, readers and a committed team helped reach the goal. Thanks to that solidarity, Daniel was able to travel to the other side of the world.
Today, months later, news arrives that restores hope. Daniel completed his third phase of treatment and was evaluated by Dr. Comar, who showed progress at the brain level. The specialist decided to give him a fourth chance in the process, a decision that marked a new chapter for the family.
Faced with this progress and considering the physical, emotional and economic effort that the move implies, Laura and Edgar made a difficult but necessary decision: to remain in India until completing the fourth session of the treatment.
From there, Daniel’s parents sent a message of gratitude to those who made this path possible. They said that their son has shown significant progress, that he is more awake, more active. One of the most important achievements is that Daniel no longer needs to breathe through the tube in his throat. After surgery, today he breathes with his own respiratory system, a step that seemed unthinkable a long time ago.
There are still about two more months left in India, which represents a new challenge for the family. For this reason, his parents invite you to continue sharing the story, to raise a prayer for Daniel and, whoever can, to continue supporting them in this final stretch of the process.
