The former Attorney General of the State, daniel soriapointed out that the questions against him and his dismissal took place after he filed a complaint against the Republic President, Peter Castlefor allegedly being involved in the contract for the Tarata III Bridge.
“TAll of this occurs after the filing of the complaint against Pedro Castillo. Before that, I only had one meeting with the Minister of Justice about the 2022 budget in which I had to participate. We have not had meetings on other issues, ”he stated in Punto Final.
Likewise, Soria pointed out that the Attorney General’s Office was evaluating other actions to continue the investigation against the head of state.

“We were also evaluating filing an amparo action so that the President of the Republic could be subjected to preliminary investigations. The Attorney General’s Office works in a technical way, based on this, complaints are made, ”he added.
In that sense, he explained that the complaint filed against the president was based on the period of time in which the meeting with businesswoman karelim lopez.
“The complaint is presented by the timeline for the meetings of Karelim López with the president, plus the television report of the Sarratea house and due to the way in which the committee acted in the concession of the Talara Bridge, these elements were evaluated”, he stated.

Soria Luján emphasized that, to date, the Attorney General’s Office does not have a person at its head and that the institution’s lawyers are not authorized to participate in tax proceedings and review processes such as those against the former Secretary General, Bruno Pacheco.
Complaint against Pedro Castillo
In December 2021, Daniel Soria filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office to the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo Terrones, for the alleged commission of the crimes of illegal sponsorship and influence peddling. This in relation to the Provías case and the award obtained by the consortium linked to karelim lopez.
According to various journalistic reports, López Arredondo would have met with Castillo Terrones on several occasions.
