The presidential candidate Daniel Quintero spoke out after some chats became known that would involve his brother, Miguel Quintero, in alleged acts of corruption in the city of Medellín.
The Prosecutor’s Office decided to add the former mayor’s brother to an investigation for alleged irregularities during the administration in the capital of Antioquia between 2020 and 2022.

It talks about possible irregular contracting between the Itagüí Fire Department and the administration of the metropolitan area of the Aburrá Valley, according to the revelation made by Noticias Caracol.
However, Daniel Quintero affirmed that the chats are altered and denied that his brother was involved in anomalies during his administration.
“They have persecuted my brother in every way for the sole fact of being my brother and to attack me. The chats have already been analyzed, it was shown that they are manipulated and that they do not show any irregularity, which is why neither my brother nor I have been involved in any of these processes,” he indicated.
Quintero affirmed that he is being politically persecuted and that the attacks against him are because we are on the verge of voting on the popular consultation of the Historical Pact.
“The only thing here is a legal, media war, of rehashed montages, because we are 10 days away from elections and they know that we are the only ones who can win these elections and reset corrupt politics, declaring war to the death on the corrupt in this country,” he said.

The political leader hopes that justice will advance in other judicial investigations involving his political opponents and also requests that the corresponding investigations be advanced, for what he himself calls the ‘lots cartel’.
Quintero, who was also present on Tribuna RCN, insisted that if he reaches the Presidency of the Republic he will seek to reset politics, justice and in this way put the corrupt in jail.
