Daniel Ortega’s regime will cancel 25 more organizations

The Nicaraguan National Assembly, controlled by the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega, will cancel another 25 organizations, according to an initiative for the Legislative Decree for the Cancellation of Legal Personalities presented by the Ortega deputy Filiberto Rodríguez, president of the Commission for Peace, Defense, Government and Human Rights of the Parliament.

The document It is dated May 9 but the website of the National Assembly published the initiative until this Friday. The next plenary session of the Assembly is scheduled to be on Tuesday, May 17.

The statement of reasons presented by the Ortega deputy to cancel these organizations does not vary and, like the other illegal associations, the Ministry of the Interior maintains that these organizations did not report their financial reports according to the fiscal periods and detailed breakdowns as established by law. .

On May 4, the Ortega dictatorship ordered the deputies of the National Assembly to remove, in a single session, the legal status of 50 civil organizations. With this, since 2018, the regime has canceled approximately more than 127 non-profit organizations.

8-Association Institute of Studies for Governance and Democracy,

9-Association of the Nicaraguan Cement and Concrete Institute (INCYC),

10-Nicaraguan Civil Foundation for Conservation and Development (Funcod),

11-Orientation Center Foundation for the Exportation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Coemipyme),

12-Association for Masaya First (PMP),

13-New Guinea Municipal Youth Network Association (RMJ-NG),

14-Center for International Relations Foundation (CRI),

15-Civil Foundation for the Support of Women Victims of Violence,

16-Association of Ladies Lawyers of Nicaragua (ASAN),
