Daniel Ortega uses Evo Morales to “raise the spirits” of his fans

Evo Morales califica de "digna" decisión de Nicaragua de salir la OEA

The regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo uses its international allies to “lift the spirits” of its fans and keep them in its fold. The Nicaraguan dictatorship has extended various invitations to Evo Morales, former president of Bolivia, but he has not been able to attend the events, revealed the same former president in a virtual activity of the Electoral Victory Units (UVE) of the Sandinista National Liberation Front party (FSLN). ) .

In the extensive presentation, Morales reviewed the history of his country and the social struggles to come to power. In the best Rosario Murillo style, he launched virulent attacks on the United States, capitalism and imperialism. Furthermore, he blamed Ukraine, the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) for the Russian invasion.

Before the fans of the regime, Morales endorsed and praised the fact that Nicaragua has “freed itself from imperialism” in reference to Ortega’s withdrawal from the Organization of American States (OAS). What the former president forgot to mention was the confiscation, by the Ortega-Murillo dictatorship, of the property that the regional body rented and where they will install a “Museum of infamy,” according to Rosario Murillo.

«I say sisters and brothers we have an enormous responsibility, a responsibility above all with the peoples, and that is freeing ourselves from the OAS, freeing ourselves from the empire, how good it would be for the so-called leftist presidents of Latin America, if they took a step to be governments anti-imperialists, maybe sometimes they are of some use to us, but it is not the solution,” Morales told supporters of the Managua regime.

“A political revolution, a social revolution, a cultural revolution must be accompanied by an economic revolution, if there is no economic revolution there is no political revolution, there is no social or cultural revolution,” said the former president, accused of corruption and acquitted in December 2020 by the Third Anti-Corruption Judge of La Paz, Claudia Castro, who issued a resolution ordering the annulment and filing of the investigation against Morales. The cause was shelved under the new administration of Luis Arce.

Criticism of the Summit of the Americas

Morales also criticized that the United States has not extended invitations to the dictators Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez of Cuba for the Summit of the Americas to be held next June in Los Angeles, California.

“I hope some countries listen to us, that do not participate in that Summit of the Americas, what Summit of the Americas? Summit of some countries submissive to the North American empire that have to understand that if they are supportive, if the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean are democrats and fight for freedom, it is best not to participate in that Summit called by the United States », he concluded.
