Daniel Nosiglia climbs a position again in the Dakar rally

Daniel Nosiglia improves positions as the Dakar rally draws to a close, in Saudi Arabia. In the tenth and penultimate stage that was run this Wednesday, the Bolivian motorcyclist arrived in position number 21, while in the general classification he is in step 17.

The day of this Wednesday took place between Wadi Ad-Dawasir and Bisha with 375 km timed and 384 km of connection. For that route, our compatriot used a time of 3h17’28 ”.

The winner of the stage was the Australian Toby Price (3h05’32 ”), followed by the Argentine Luciano Benavides (3h07’41 ”) and the French Adrien Van Beveren (3h09’07”), second and third, respectively.

For the general, Nosiglia accumulates a time of 35h19’08 ”, while Van Beveren went on to command the race (33h27’06 ”). Second is the British Sam Sunderland (33h33’05 ”) and third is the Chilean Pablo Quintanilla (33h33’21”).

In this stage, the current Dakar champion left due to mechanical problems, Argentine Kevin Benavides. For his part, the Austrian Matthias Walkner, who was the pointer to the previous cover, had navigation errors and dropped to fourth place.

The eleventh and penultimate stage of the rally will be run this Thursday in a loop to be held in Bisha, with 346 timed km and 155 km of connection. It will be a day in which the competitors will have to navigate dunes of all kinds, including the softest ones in the desert, which can cause radical changes in positions.
