The mayor of Recoleta, Daniel Jadue (PC), addressed the figure of the future Minister of Finance of the Government of Gabriel Boric, Mario Marcel. In this regard, he pointed out that “we all know that he is a defender of the neoliberal creed.”
“I do know Marcel’s trajectory and we all know that Marcel is a defender of the neoliberal creed. What matters to me is that he committed himself to leading the transformations that President Boric committed to,” said the mayor about the former president of the Central Bank, in conversation with Radio Universe.
“It is very likely that the Marcel we know is not the Marcel we are going to see as of March 11,” added the Recoleta community chief.
Let’s remember, he was against withdrawals from pension savings. “I was never in favor of retirement either, I was never in favor of workers paying the cost of the crisis with their own savings,” said Jadue.
Regarding the cabinet and collaborators of the next Boric government, he expressed that “it is likely that the history of each of the names may generate doubts for some, but what I am clear about is that I highly valued the criteria with which the President established his cabinet ”.
