Dairy sales in the domestic market, particularly products such as cream, dulce de leche, chocolate or flavored milk and butter They grew during the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2021, reported the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation.
According to the survey carried out by the National Dairy Directorate, the increases in sales of cream (5.8%), dulce de leche (5.4%), chocolate or flavored milk (29.4%), and butter (3.9%).
These foods are part of the segment called other dairy products, whose sales measured as a whole totaled 21,280,000 liters, which represented a rise of 1.9% between January and June of this year, compared to the same period in 2021.
“Sales of fluid milk grew 1.1% between January and June of this year, compared to the same period in 2021, totaling 562,116,000 liters,” said the national director of Dairy, Arturo Videla.
Also, the commercialization of cheeses in the domestic market climbed 1.2% between January and June of this yearcompared to the same period in 2021, totaling 183,723 tons.
At the last meeting of the Federal Dairy Council (CFL), the representatives of the Foundation for the Promotion and Development of the Argentine Dairy Chain (FunPEL) stated that “due to its conditions, the Argentine Dairy Chain can make an important contribution to the recovery economy of Argentina in the coming years”.
