Dairy industry workers will not work overtime starting this Friday

The unionized workers in the Federation of Dairy Industry Workers (FTIL) They will work according to regulations starting this Friday, April 15after the union declared itself in pre-conflict.

The decision was made after the Chamber of the Dairy Industry of Uruguay (CILU) stated that no progress will be made in the Salary Council due to a conflict in a companythe workers explained in a statement.

That situation “takes collective bargaining hostage,” said the workerswho stressed that they are open to dialogue.

Starting this Friday and until the areas of collective bargaining are reinstated in the industrywith the participation of the CILU, the employees will not work overtime.

In addition, next Thursday, April 21, the FTIL will hold its National General Assembly starting at 9 a.m. and in this framework the possible progress in the negotiations will be analyzed “or failing that, the deepening of the measures to be implemented,” they indicated from the federation.
