Santiago.– The director of the Airport Department, Víctor Pichardo held this Wednesday together with the director of Migration, Venancio Alcántara, a supervision tour of the Cibao International Airport, as a way of verifying the correct operation in the face of the massive arrival of passengers during these holidays.
“We broke records again at our international airports in the month of November, receiving more than 1,261,000 passengers. In this month of December, more than 154,000 people are projected to arrive at this Cibao airport, which is where the most ethnic passengers arrive,” Pichardo said.

He assured that this initiative is carried out within the framework of the High Season Passenger Flow Management Plan, which came into force on November 15 at all international airports.
On his side, the Director General of Migration assured that the necessary personnel have been arranged, in order to expedite the entry and exit of passengers.
“We suggest that citizens register and use the autogate, which is the rapid passage of passengers, so that its process can be more agile, ”said Alcántara.
During the tour, both officials were accompanied by the airport’s general administrator, Teófilo Gómez, who indicated that in the terminal they have taken all the provisions of the place so that the Dominicans who arrive through the Cibao are pleasant.
The Cibao International Airport is in the process of a deep removal; in the first quarter of next year, the construction of a new terminal will begin.
