According to the projections, this system will develop in the Pacific and will advance towards the south and center of the country, mainly affecting the central zone during this weekend.
The first rainfall is expected for Friday afternoon, ranging from the Maule Region to the Los Lagos Region. The rainy They will be of medium intensity and will extend to the south, also reaching sectors of the southern limit of the Metropolitan Region and Valparaíso.
In addition to the rainy, the cyclonic system is expected to generate gusts of wind in southern Chile. In coastal sectors of Biobío, La Araucanía, Los Ríos and Los Lagos, intermittent winds will be experienced during the early morning, with some gusts that could reach 90 km/h.
Regarding the hours of greatest intensity of rainy, it is expected that during the afternoon of Friday the first showers will begin between Maule and Los Ríos. Over the course of the night, the rains will intensify in this area and snowfall will also be recorded in the Andean sector from O’Higgins to La Araucanía.
