A cycle of talks for educational institutions, teachers and students of the last years of the secondary level will begin next Wednesday throughout the country to publicize the “Schools and BItcoin” project in order to train on the so-called cryptocurrencies, the organizers reported. .
The talks will be held in approximately 40 educational establishments throughout the country and in August the face-to-face and virtual workshops will begin with the students of the participating schools.
“We are experiencing a historic change in the world of domestic economics and finance. With the birth of Bitcoin in 2009, a transformation began that increasingly has more users, more companies and more projects”said Javier Madariaga, director of the NGO Bitcoin Argentina, one of the organizers.

The promoters of the initiative indicated that the project seeks, on the one hand, “to bring teachers and students closer to the advantages and benefits of the crypto industry, so that they acquire tools to function in a prudent and responsible manner”; and on the other, “accompany schools in the process of digital transformation so that they can adopt the uses, languages and concepts of these technologies as educational institutions.”
The Escuelas y Bitcoin educational program that also integrates the Paxtful platform and the Built With Bitcoins Foundation will develop between 2022 and 2023.
