After 2 days of mediation by the Ombudsman, the directors of the National Customs Authority and the members of the National Association of Customs Officials (ANFA) reached a consensus in which the commitment was made not to carry out the work stoppage.

The director of Customs Tayra Barsallo and the representatives of ANFA with the mediation and assistance of the Ombudsman Eduardo Leblanc González, will continue reviewing the list of requests from the officials at a work table, today starting at 2:00 pm in the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIYAP), in order to reach agreements; mainly on the issues of salary scale and seniority premium payment.

Representatives of the Logistics Business Council (COEL) also participate in the work table.
