Cusco will have its own 'Pachakúteq Battalion' to improve security

Faced with the incessant cases of robberies, violence and even homicides, which are perpetrated in the Historic Center of Cusco, the local authorities plan to establish a battalion of agents specially trained to prevent crime in all its forms.

This squad would receive the name of ‘Pachakuteq Battalion’ and would be made up of members of the Army, who would become municipal officials, in charge of patrol work in the city.

The initiative was confirmed Mail by the mayor of Cusco, Luis Pantoja, who pointed out that the hiring of 100 to 150 Army graduates is expected, who would be featured in the ‘hot’ spots of the city.
