For the first time in institutional history, the National Police made a lunch meeting which brought together former heads and former general directors of the institution, an event historicalsymbolic and human.
A statement indicates that the meeting was coordinated by the Major General Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peraltacurrent director general of the Police, in the Officers Club of the National Policewhere – according to the document – they shared anecdotes, memories and reflections of those who, at different times in history, assumed the direction of the institution.
Among those attending were retired major generals: Edward Sánchez González, Ney Aldrin Bautista AlmonteNelson Peguero Paredes, Manuel E. Castro Castillo, José Armando Polanco Gómez, Rafael Guillermo Guzman FerminBernardo Santana Páez, Jaime Marte MartínezJosé Paulino Reyes de León and José Ramón Mota Paulino.
The generals were also present Juan H. Guzmán Badíadeputy police director and director of Police Transformation; Esteban Figuereo García, director of Human Resources; Ernesto Rodríguez Garcíacentral director of Prevention; Pedro Matos Pérez, central director of Research (Dicrim). Likewise, there was the colonel Ivan Matosadministrative deputy director of the General Teaching Hospital of the National Police (Hosgedopol).

On behalf of those present, Guzman Fermin highlighted as positive the initiative of the Major General Guzmán Peraltahighlighting that it represents a recognition of legacy of each of the former chiefs and former directors general of the Police.
He added that the initiative strengthens the institutionalitywhich is why he advocated that it continue to be celebrated from now on.
“More than a lunch, it was a act of cohesion institutional, historical memory and reaffirmation of values, which strengthens the ties between generations and projects a National Police united, aware of its past and committed to its future,” the statement said.
