“With regard to the surveillance of the journalist from ‘La Encerrona’, the only thing I have to say about that audio, which was sent to my cell phone on May 17, is that the cell phone is in the Prosecutor’s Office and the extraction was carried out using software,” was his testimony.

Lawyer Juan Carlos Mejía, representative of Captain Junior Izquierdo, known as ‘Culebra’, presented two expert reports to the Congressional Oversight Commission. These documents confirm the authenticity of the conversations between your client and the Minister of the Interior, Juan Jose Santivañez. The evidence includes audio and chats obtained using Cellebrite software, certifying that there was no manipulation.
The analyses, carried out with Cellebrite, are part of the investigations of the Public Ministry and are based on Izquierdo’s cell phones. Mejía stated that the messages and audios between Left and Santivañez They are original and have not been altered.

The expert reports, prepared by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Division of Investigation of Highly Complex Crimes (Diviac), were carried out on July 22 and 26, examining a Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 device belonging to Izquierdo.
