The Unified Council of Electricity distributors (CEED) reported that although the national electrical system faces an unavailability of 655 megawatts due to programmed and corrective maintenance in several energy generating units, with the contribution of the Dominican hydroelectric generation generation company (Egehid) The supply has been replaced by 99%.
The CAED said that this has allowed electricity distributors to maintain the service, without variation in the panorama, thanks to the measures implemented to mitigate the impact of this deficit by the generators.

The generating units currently out of service are ITABO I (120 MW), CESPM 2 (90 MW), HAINA TG (85 MW) and Punta Catalina 1 (360 MW), all in corrective maintenance.
Likewise, the major maintenance scheduled for Itabo 2 (120 MW), which should be held from March 15 to April 4, is being reassess due to the situation of Itabo I.
The CEED reiterated its commitment to the stability of the electrical system and said that it maintains a close coordination with the corresponding entities to guarantee the restoration of the generation capacity in the shortest possible time.
