Cuco’s leadership indicated that they will remain indefinitely on Calle 16 until President Laurentino Cortizo arrives in the province of Colón.
This Tuesday, May 24, marks the sixteenth day of the strike by the Coalition of Unity for Colón (CUCO), who continue to close roads in the province and public transport remains paralyzed on nine bus routes.
This strike has also caused the suspension of face-to-face classes and the economic impact of that city continues.
Cuco’s leadership indicated that they will remain indefinitely on Calle 16 until President Laurentino Cortizo arrives in the province of Colón.
They ask that Cortizo give the answers that the people are asking for in terms of projects for the benefit of colonenses, fuel regulation, against the rise in the cost of living, roads and other needs.
In addition, they are waiting for a meeting where Monsignor Rómulo Emiliani will serve as mediator to achieve concrete answers to the social problems presented to the executive of the province of Colón.
It was learned that during this Tuesday, CUCO will hold some meetings with a group of state ministers to seek alternatives to the problems faced by the people of Colon.
