The coach said that in his short week of work at Corinthians he went through “very heavy, nightmare days” and that he did not “expect the avalanche of things that happened a long time ago and resurfaced as if they were from today.”
Corinthians, for its part, announced on its Twitter profile that the coach “left command of the team after a request from the family to resolve particular issues.” However, after the victory over Remo (2-0) and the classification in the definition by penalties from the penalty spot for the round of 16 of the Brazil Cup, the president of the club, Duilio Monteiro, told reporters that Cuca he was being “butchered.”
