MIAMI, United States. – Nearly twenty Cuban women joined together to express their support for Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado and her fight for a democratic future in Venezuela. a video Made public by Machado on her social networks, Cuban women living in different parts of the world expressed their support for the leader of the Venezuelan democratic forces.

“My Cuban soul friends, thank you! If there is a people who have suffered decades of pain from communism, it is yours. Your struggle is ours. We love you and admire your courage,” Machado wrote when posting the video.

The opposition leader also highlighted the courage of Cuban women and stressed the importance of the connection between the struggle of both peoples, the Cuban and the Venezuelan. “Today, women around the world are connected in an unstoppable network for dignity, democracy and freedom,” she said.

Among the Cubans who participated in the video are well-known figures such as the activist Rosa Maria Payaactresses Susana Pérez and Beatriz Valdés, and singers Haydée Milanés and Aymée Nuviola.

Also appearing are the historian Anamely Ramos, the journalist Camila Acosta, the activists Carolina Barrero and Gigi Maduq, the model and actress Rachell Vallori, the entrepreneur, activist and influencer Grecia Ordóñez, the singer-songwriter Bea César, the civil engineer Claudia Riverón, the businesswoman Gabriela Pino, the doctor Daycee Zamora, the influencer Marissa Díaz and Global Business specialist Elianys Beatriz Pérez.

“You are the most important political leader in the world and you are not alone,” says Carolina Barrero in the video.

The message of solidarity comes at a crucial time for Venezuela, just days after the European Parliament officially recognized María Corina Machado as “leader of the democratic forces” in the country and Edmundo González Urrutia as the “legitimate president” of the South American country.
