The Cuban sprinter Shainer Reginfo repeated this Saturday what he achieved during his debut in indoor athletic competitions by finishing in second place in the 60-meter event at the International Meeting of Athletics of Catalonia, held in the Spanish city of Sabadell.
Reginfo dominated his semifinal heat with 6.72 seconds, a mark he improved on in the final when he stopped the clocks in 6.66 seconds. However, that was not enough for the victory, which this time corresponded to the Italian Samuele Seccarelli (6.65 seconds), according to a note published in the sports portal Hit.

There was also a Cuban presence at the indoor rally in the French city of Lyon, where another Cuban who broke ties with the federation, the long jumper Lester Lescay, won with a jump of 7.99 meters, from now on the top record. of that competition.
Lescay, who is based in the Valencian community, began his presentation with a jump of 7.84 meters, then set marks of 6.22 and 7.60, and after committing a foul he stretched to 7.79 meters before to achieve the record that gave him the victory, according to the website of the competition.
Of the group of ten athletes with which the Cuban federation covers the winter season, the high jumper Luis Enrique Zayas will be the next to take action when he performs next Tuesday in Nehvizdy, Czech Republic.
