MIAMI, United States. — Cuban youtuber Dina Stars, one of the island’s influencers with the largest number of followers on social networks, announced that she would stay and live in Spain, the country where she arrived last week.
The young woman recognized that it was a difficult decision, especially due to the fact of leaving her mother behind.
“All goodbyes are hard. But without a doubt, leaving my light source behind was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I love you very much, I will fulfill the dream of both, “wrote Dina Stars in one of her publications in Instagram.
At the moment, the youtuber is in Madrid, a city in which she claims to be very comfortable.
Already in Spain, the influencer shared on her YouTube channel a video recorded when she was still on the island where she explained the procedures she carried out to travel to the Iberian nation.
In July 2021, Dina Stars was arrested in her own home by political police agents while she offered an interview to a Spanish network telling details of the anti-government protests of the days July 11 and 12.
In the middle of the transmission, the young woman said that she would attend to two alleged officials and got up. Then she came back and reported that she had to leave. Before the conversation was abruptly cut off, she added: “I hold the government responsible for anything that happens to me.”
Prior to her arrest, the youtuber had acknowledged that she was tired of not denouncing the things that were happening in Cuba, although she admitted that she was afraid of what could happen to both her and her family.
