After reaching 2 years of age, infants will be administered a single dose of the Cuban Quimi-Vio vaccine.
The campaign will be carried out throughout the national territory in vaccination centers in health areas, from October 14 to December 31 of the current year.
The vaccine protects against meningitis, pneumonia and acute otitis media, caused by the pneumococcus bacteria.
Last July, the Cuban regime boasted in its propaganda media about Quimi-Vio, an anti-pneumococcal vaccine that had just received health registration from the Center for the Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices. Cuba.
