In the final, without the pressure of the previous fight, the Cubans dominated the boys from Guatemala with a comfortable 6-2, adds the report.
According to Jit, shortly before the qualifying segment there were definitions in the team event of the Merengue Cup, and the best thing for Cuba was the men’s silver medal, after losing 3-5 in the final against Chile.
More discreet was the performance of the women, who did not make it to the quarterfinals after falling by a 0-6 sweep against the representatives of Guatemala.
The Merengue Cup will lower its curtains this Saturday with the definition of the individual medals. In the women’s fair Maydenia will seek gold, while among the men Hugo will be one of the protagonists of the fight for the bronze medal.
