Cuban paraathletes triumph in Tunisia

The fourth gold for Cuba was provided by Robiel Yankiel, Olympic champion of the T-47 category in Tokyo 2020, who won again in the long jump, now with a record of 7.27 meters.

For her part, the thrower Noraivis de las Heras (F-44 affected lower limb) won the silver medal in the discus with 27.30 meters, while Lázaro Yarlo Rodríguez (T-64) and Ulicer Aguilera (F-13) the they imitated in the long jump, with 6.28 meters, and the javelin, with 55.51 meters, respectively.

The bronze medal for Cuba went to the neck of Guillermo Varona in the javelin of the F-46 category, thanks to a throw of 60.28 meters.

Tunisia, the host country, ranked first among nations with 17 gold, 11 silver and six bronze medals, according to Hit. The media announces that the Cuban para athletes will compete again at the end of July in the grand prix phase of Monterrey, in Mexico.
