MADRID, Spain.- Journalist Abdiel Bermúdez, from the Cuban Television Information System, shared through social networks that his cell phone was stolen this week.

“Yesterday I ‘lost’ my mobile, troop… Someone felt they had the right to take it without permission and… turned it off!” he said from Facebook without offering details of the robbery.

In response to a comment from a netizen, he mentioned that the robbery occurred on Tuesday between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning at a bus terminal, although he did not specify which one.

In comments to the publication, several acquaintances of Bermúdez said they had gone through a similar situation.

this same week Claudia Lugohost of Canal Habana, warned about the increase in violence in the Cuban streets.

As he recounted, at 9:00 in the morning this Wednesday, after leaving the gym and while he was walking along Fifth Avenue in the Playa municipality, with his cell phone in hand, a man approached him and said: “Go on, what They are going to do the same thing to you that I do… snatch cell phones.”

“I swear my blood pressure dropped. At the moment of telling me this, the man sent himself to run between the cars. I had to stop and breathe. I put the cell phone away and searched along the road to make sure that man didn’t show up again. I don’t know if that alert was because he couldn’t do anything in the middle of Fifth Avenue, I don’t know if he had already met his quota today, the truth is that it left me thinking about the violence that Cuba is experiencing today,” Lugo shared.
