Cuban National Ballet will pay homage to José Martí

The Cuban National Ballet (BNC)under the direction of Viengsay Valdés, will offer this Tuesday a function in Havana to pay homage to the 170th anniversary of the birth of the National Hero of Cuba, Jose Marti.

In the Avellaneda room of the National Theater, and starting at 9:00 pm, the company will present the play Lucia Jerezbased on the Maestro’s homonymous novel, with choreography by the prima ballerina absolute Alicia Alonso, music by Enrique González and designs by Frank Álvarez, according to a report from the Prensa Latina (PL) agency.
