AREQUIPA, Peru – A Cuban mother, identified as Yobaisi Compota on Facebookreported the disappearance of her minor son in Havana on Thursday.
“Please, my son has been missing since yesterday at 5:00 PM when he ran away from the special school located in El Trébol, Habana del Este municipality,” Compota said in a post this morning.
The child in question is called Reider and is 10 years old. The last time he was seen he was with another child. “Please, whoever sees him, write to me urgently. I only ask God that he is safe and sound,” adds the mother.
Although the complaint did not include further details of the case, it does show a photo of Reider and the other minor who was allegedly accompanying him.
The State Cuban does not implement any mechanism to make visible the missing persons caseseven if they are minors or elderly, such as the Amber alert used in the United States. That is why most complaints are made by members of civil society through social networks.
To report a missing person, it is recommended that family members fill out the form for missing alerts which make the search and pressure on authorities more effective.
