Madrid Spain.- The Government of Mexico returned to Cuba 29 Cuban migrants (23 men and 6 women) who were irregularly in Aztec territory.
They were intercepted “after having traveled legally to third countries and being detained by the Mexican authorities in an attempt to improperly enter the United States,” the agency said on Saturday. Cuban News Agency (ACN).
The migrants arrived in the country through the José Martí International Airport and were later transferred to their places of residence.
During 2022 Mexico has returned to Cuba a total of 1,276 people, in operations of this type.
“Cuban immigration authorities insisted on the danger and life-threatening conditions that such movements represent, where travelers are at the expense of situations of kidnapping, rape, extortion and other setbacks,” the information note states.
Coast Guard repatriates 55 Cubans
This Friday the crew of the Coast Guard Issac Mayo repatriated 55 Cubans to Cuba, after 5 interdictions off the Florida Keys.
As reported through Twitter the United States Coast Guard (USCG, for its acronym in English), all Caribbean people tried to reach the United States coasts in rustic boats, without the necessary conditions for this type of crossing.

“Seek a safe and legal path to immigration instead of enduring the dangers of the high seas. (…) The possibility of being detained by Coast Guard crews while illegally migrating through the Caribbean Sea is high,” warned Commander Tanner Stiehl, of the 7th Coast Guard District.
Since the beginning of this fiscal year, on October 1, 2021, Coast Guard crews have intercepted 2,464 Cubans.
