the stellar cuban boxer Lázaro Álvarez achieved a new victory as a professional this Friday, his fourth since he began fighting in boxing under the protection of the Cuban Federation (FCB).
The three-time amateur world champion and Olympic bronze medalist gave no respite to local Sergio “Dandy” Puente, whom he defeated by technical knockout in the Mexican city of San Pedro Garza.
Garza did not come to the ring in the fifth of the eight rounds initially agreed upon, in the lightweight division (135 pounds). Previously, he had been sent to the canvas by the Cuban in the second and fourth segments of the fight, according to the digital site Hitwhich quotes ESPN Knock Out.

In this way, Álvarez maintained his undefeated status as a professional and gave the Domadores de Cuba their first success in the current season of rented boxing.
Now the FCB franchise has 16 victories and a solitary setback in these matches, the one suffered by Yosbany Veitía against the Aztec Daniel “Tubo” Ramírez last December, in the 118-pound division.
The next match for the Tamers will feature Erislandy Álvarez, who will debut as a professional on February 10 against the Mexican José Segura in the city of Jalisco.
Cuban amateur boxers began their forays into rented circuits last year. They did it hand in hand with the Mexican company Golden Ringwhich signed a representation agreement with the FCB for its representation in this type of fight.
However, along the way they have lost figures like Billy Rodríguez and Osvel Caballero, who decided not to return to Cuba after fighting as professionals.
