The Cuban women’s squad of judo achieved a good performance this Sunday in the L’Aisne tournament, held in Franceby harvesting a dozen medals, including three titles.

The titles this time were won by the experienced Arnaes Odelín (57 kg) and Maylín del Toro (63 kg), together with the promising Nairelis Fuentes (70 kg). They did not disclose the names of their rivals in the finals.
In addition, Blanca Cabrera (52 kg), Yuinisleidys Hernández (57 kg), Santa Romero (78 kg) and Dayle Ojeda (+78 kg) gave up in the decisive bout. Zamarit Gregorio Vasconcelo (48 kg), Lutmary García (63 kg) and Idelannis Gómez (70 kg) reached the bronze medals, the report added.
This event served the Cuban judokas as a prelude to the first major tournament of the season, the Judo Grand Slam in Paris 2023, which will open its curtains on February 4.
