AREQUIPA, Peru – Journalist Henry Constantín Ferreiro, director of The Time of Cubacompleted 48 hours of arbitrary detention by the Cuban regime at 10:00 AM this Saturday.

Through a publication on Facebookthe aforementioned independent media reports that Constantín Ferreiro continues to be detained in the transit prison known as El Vivac, located in the Calabazar neighborhood of the Arroyo Naranjo municipality of the capital.

“One of our collaborators went to the aforementioned prison yesterday afternoon to inquire about Henry’s state of health and the conditions in which they are keeping Henry, without obtaining any response. The first lieutenant who attended him at the door replied that they could not give any information about any detainee,” the text states.

The last news that the media received from its leader was a communication from inside El Vivac, declaring that he had “been interrogated by six agents of the Cuban regime, such as the head of the Havana region, Lieutenant Colonel Alejandro; the second from counterintelligence, and three more agents, identified as Yunior, Rodrigo and Pablo.”

Constantín Ferreiro also revealed that the reason given by the regime for his arrest is that he violated the legal control that exists over him in Camagüey.
