At least 10 people died this Saturday and three others were injured – mostly black – in a shooting carried out by an 18-year-old white man. The event is being investigated as a hate crime and a case of “racially motivated violent extremism.”
The attacker was heavily armed with tactical gear, protected by military gear and was carrying a camera with which he was broadcasting live, according to official information.
In the parking lot of the shopping center he shot four people, of whom three died, before entering the premises where he continued shooting.
The shooting brings to mind a series of similar incidents that occurred in the US, including the one that took place on March 23, 2021 with a balance of 10 dead in a supermarket in Boulder, in the state of Colorado.
