Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, received today the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Titov, who is on an official visit in Havana.
The website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Cubaminrex, states that during the cordial meeting, the parties confirmed the excellent state of relations between the two countries, to which both governments give high priority.
They also expressed their mutual will to continue strengthening political-diplomatic, economic, commercial, cultural and cooperation ties.
For his part, the Cuban Foreign Minister published on his Twitter account the meeting with the Russian Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs and ratified the will to continue deepening ties between the two nations.
“I had a meeting with Vladimir Titov, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. We ratify the excellent state of the ties between our countries and the will to continue deepening them in all spheres ”, says the tweet.
Rodríguez Parrilla and Titov also addressed various current affairs and ratified the attachment of both countries to multilateralism, international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
According to the note from the Foreign Ministry, the distinguished visitor was accompanied by the head of the Secretariat of the Russian First Deputy Minister, Alexander Viktorovich Zelenov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cuba, Andrei A. Guskov and other members of the Russian diplomatic mission.
On the Cuban side, Gisela García Rivera, general director ai of Bilateral Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, was present.
