The prestigious Gastronomic Guide Taste Atlas public A ranking of the best coffee elaborations in the world and Cuba surprised at the top of the list, ahead of another 80 world -recognized preparations.
The Cuban express, qualified with 4.6 stars on a total of five, heads a ranks in which the toast, fermentation and details that distinguish each product were taken into account as a comprehensive sensory experience, Clarín points out in a review of the list.
“A unique type of pre -sweetened express, originally from Cuba. It is often known as Cuban express, Cuban coffee, Cuban or Shot Cuban, ”says Taste Atlas, which recognizes the popularity of this preparation beyond the borders of the island.
“Although it enjoys a unique status in Cuba, where it has traditionally become an essential social and cultural drink, the Cuban express is also very popular and is widely available in Latin America and Florida,” he explains.

This preparation consists of a sweetened express shot, mixing the darkest gangs with brown sugar, which results in a light brown foam on coffee.
“The Cuban style express is considered a mid-afternoon classic that is usually served with a glass of water,” adds the publication, which in its top-10 included three elaborations of Greece and the same amount of Italy.
However, the second position of the ranking occupies the filter coffee of India, with 4.4 rating stars. “The filter consists of two cameras: the upper one, with a perforated background, for ground coffee, and the lower one, where the prepared coffee is slowly poured, and this technique results in a coffee with intense body and flavor, which is usually mixed with milk and sweeten with sugar,” they point out.
The rest of the honor positions are occupied in this order by the Express Freddo de Greece, the Capuchino de Turin (Italy), the Italian ristretto, the Vietnamese ice cream, the Capuchino Freddo de Greece, the Italian express, the Turkish coffee (Türk Kahvesi) and the frappé coffee of Salares (Grecia).
