The Cuban guy Eric Hernandez This Sunday he added a new mark to his multiple ball control records by hitting the ball with his head, for 1 hour, 9 minutes and 50 seconds.
The 56-year-old former soccer player broke his two previous records this time from a sitting position on the ground and with 1.5 kilograms of weight tied around each ankle.
In 2017, he had touched the ball for 43 minutes and 5 seconds, and the following year, he established a new world record in a similar test with a time of 1 hour and 59 seconds.
Hernández returned on this day to the Copacabana hotel in Havana where in April of this year he had given -standing- 351 touches with his head to the ball during one minute, and with that result he surpassed the mark that was held by the Chinese Gao Chong, with 341 hits.
Known as “the Dominator”, Hernández has several approved Guinness records: in 2005, for touching the ball 319 times in one minute with his head, and in 2009, when he controlled the ball with his thighs for one hour and 28 minutes.
In 2020, from his home due to the isolation forced by the pandemic, he repeated his presence in the Guinness Book, when he hit the round head 188 times in just 30 seconds, to beat the previous mark by one, which he himself had approved in 2011.

Hernández began to practice the modality of mastery of the ball in 1994, a tradition that had first been practiced by his brother Douglas, a precursor of the specialty in Cuba.
Since then he has proven his ability to touch the ball with almost all parts of the body, achieving mastery marks with his thighs, knees, feet, head, sitting, standing or running the 100 meters and the marathon.
