The Cuban company Malpaso will dance today for the first time at The Clarice performing arts complex, at the University of Maryland, United States.
According to the US institution, the collective is proud to receive the Cuban artists in their current season after having them in the 2020-2021 program, which was done virtually due to the pandemic.
The repertoire of the Cuban group includes the works Indomitable Waltz, of the Canadian Aszure Barton; Sunset, of the Cuban Osnel Delgado and Tabula Rasaby the Israeli Ohad Naharin.
Directed by Fernando Sáez, Malpaso debuted in the French capital in April and then performed for two nights and for the second consecutive year in the city of Belgrade at the Dance Festival.
Associated with the Joyce Theater in the United States, since its foundation in 2013 the company has shared with international figures such as Ronald K. Brown, Sonya Tayeh and Trey McIntyre.
