Havana Cuba. – From the prison of maximum rigor Eastern Combinewhich is located at kilometer 13 ½ of the Vía Monumental, in the Guanabacoa municipality, citizen Abdel Alfonso Cárdenas denounces that he is the victim of constant prison changes by the prison authorities.
Alfonso Cárdenas clarifies that he is currently locked up on the first floor, north wing of building 1, in what is known as the “increased area” and where he was transferred from the prison also of maximum rigor El Pitirre, known as 1580, located in the Santa María del Rosario highway in the San Miguel del Padrón municipality of the capital. Likewise, he expands that he had previously been a prisoner in the Valle Grande prison, in La Lisa.
Abdel Alfonso points out that he is 40 years old, is a native of the Plaza de la Revolución municipality and at the time of the arrest he worked as an auto mechanic. He likewise reveals that he was convicted of the crime of sabotage as punishment for stoning the windows of the store on MLC Línea y 12, located in that central intersection of Vedado in Havana.
The prisoner indicates that he also used to express his discontent with the regime through social networks. According to what he describes, after spending a month and 17 days in prison, he was tried on May 26, 2021 in the Crimes against State Security room of the People’s Municipal Court of Marianao, located at Calle 100 y 33. The prosecutor’s petition in his against was 18 years of deprivation of freedom and was finally sentenced to nine years.
