On the occasion of its 63rd anniversary, Contemporary dance of Cuba (DCC) is preparing various activities for the remainder of September. Among them stands out the premiere of the piece The song of triumphant lovea sung ballet by the Italian composer Paolo Coletta, whose special version for DCC is currently being performed by Polish choreographers Ewa Wycichowska and Andrzej Adamczak, under the general direction of Miguel Iglesias, at the head of the dance group.
This novel proposal, lasting just over an hour, also includes the work of the French orchestra director Nathalie Marin, who will lead the Ensemble Habana XXI directed by the Cuban César Eduardo Ramos, together with the support of the embassies of France and Poland on the Island, review national media.

The piece, which will premiere at the end of this month (September 23, 24 and 25 at the National Theater), is based on the literary piece of the same name written by the Russian author Iván Turguénef in 1881. It tells the story of the friends Muzio and Fabio, who fall in love with Valeria, one of the most beautiful young women in the city.
Before the world premiere of The song of triumphant loveDCC presents this weekend the acclaimed Carmina Burana at the National Theater. It is an emblematic piece from his repertoire, choreographed by the Cuban dancer and choreographer George Céspedes, a disciple of the company founded 63 years ago by Ramiro Guerra, the father of modern dance in the country.
