The German company AGON Sports, which represents several Cuban boxers in the professional circuitsestablished the most transcendental moments during the cards – which he organized in 2025, and in which three fighters born on the island appear.
Heading this ranking is William Scull, protagonist of one of the most anticipated fights during the recently concluded year, which put him in the opposite corner to the multi-time Mexican champion Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez.
The man from Matanzas arrived in Riyadh with a world crown and with the option of unifying all the titles in the 168-pound division, and, although he did not achieve that goal, he managed to complete the agreed 12 rounds without incident against one of the most successful fighters in history.
The simple fact of reaching a fight of that caliber was the best dividend for Scull and AGON Sports – which supports his career -, although for the fans the feeling of having missed their greatest opportunity to shine at the highest level prevailed.

In second position, the German promoter placed the fight between the double Olympic champion Julio César la Cruz and the Montenegrin Dilan Prasovic in the 101.6 kg division, as part of the professional card held in Varadero at the beginning of May.
Although Prasovic managed to take the Cuban to the canvas, he recovered and knocked down his opponent four times to secure the option to challenge for the absolute crown of the World Boxing Association (WBA).
The presence of Erislandy Álvarez in fourth place in the ranking compiled by AGON Sports was established by a shocking lawsuit, in which the only Cuban Olympic champion in Paris 2024 was about to lose his WBA Latin American continental belt.
It also happened in Varadero, but last November, when the southerner was heading towards his sixth success in the challenged circuits, then with the Mexican Rogelio a clear victory over the Mexican Rogelio Jiménez as a rival.
In the penultimate of the 10 agreed rounds, the Aztec delivered a blow that was close to reversing the situation, adding more excitement to the closing of the fight.
The fears in the Cuban corner dissipated after the protection count and in the closing Erislandy managed to avoid the risks to remain undefeated as a professional.
Shocking hits
To round out its selection, the German company chose two impressive lawsuits.
In one of them, held in mid-February in the German city of Ulm, local veteran Félix Sturm – 46 years old – sentenced his compatriot and veteran Benjamin Blindert with a powerful KO in the third round of their duel for the WBA Gold Belt.
In the other, also among German boxers, Paul Wall’s display to beat Antonio Fechner in a fight held on September 12 in Berlin, corresponding to the super welterweight division, was impressive.
