In a day of police summonses and arbitrary arrests, the artist Rosmery Almeda soul poet and the activist Yamilka Lafita Lara Crofswere detained this Wednesday at the Zapata y C Police station, in El Vedado, Havana, according to family sources reported on social networks.
These arrests are added to that of the graffiti artist Yulier Rodríguez Pérez Yulier P., who had been summoned for the morning of this February 15, to the Aguilera unit in the municipality of Diez de Octubre. After leaving it, the urban artist took a photo in front of the police unit building, which caused him to be arrested again, according to his wife’s complaint.
For her part, the activist and artist Alma Poet was arrested while she was inquiring at the El Vedado police station about the youtuber Yordanka Battle Moré, who also received a summons for this Wednesday. After a few hours at the police headquarters, the artist was released.
Regarding Lara Crofs, the independent organization Cubalex stressed that her arbitrary arrest occurred during the “repressive day” this Wednesday against Cuban youth and accompanied the message with the hashtags #NoMásTerrorismoDeEstado. The activist was released after a few hours.

Others arrested on the day were those of the youtuber Adelth Bonne and activist Arian Cruz Tata Poet. The first was summoned at the Diez de Octubre police station this Wednesday and, after leaving the interrogation with State Security, stood next to Tata Poet on the outskirts of the unit to demand the release of the graffiti artist Yulier Rodríguez.
An officer who identified himself as Alberto showed up at Bonne’s house to let him know that he had to show up at ten in the morning this Wednesday in Diez de Octubre, but he did not give him any written summons. “From now on I say that I hold the Cuban dictatorship responsible for what happens to me,” he said.
Rodríguez, Bonne and Tata Poet were released hours later on Wednesday afternoon, after dozens of complaints on social networks from friends and activists.
Yordanka Battle Moré also denounced having been threatened during a police appointment this Wednesday and assured that her critical reports on social networks are given because she is tired of the “inefficiency, of the citizen’s defenselessness, of bad policies, that ordinary Cubans thousands of vicissitudes are going through and the efforts are not aimed at improving the quality of life. It is wrong here and in Hong Kong”.
Battle Moré warned State Security that he uses social networks because “he feels like it, in the end it is my opinion.” “I feel like spending the very expensive megabytes that I pay to ETECSA. I feel like talking about the bad decision. That’s why I told you, I am a worm, but you created this worm.”
