Cubadisco Award given to Mexican interpreter Rosalía León

Cuban cultural authorities delivered this weekend one of the international prizes awarded by Cubadisco 2022 to the Mexican singer Rosalía León for her album Mexico I sing to you from Cuba.

The president of the Cuban Institute of Music (ICM), Indira Fajardo, and the president of Cubadisco, Jorge Gómez, were in charge of awarding the award in a private ceremony held at the Hotel Nacional, according to the media Cubadebate.

The Mexican artist had traveled to Havana to appear at the Cubadisco Awards Gala, which was to take place on May 14, postponed due to the official mourning decreed after the rescue operation for the victims of the Saratoga hotel explosion had concluded. , event in which 46 people lost their lives.
