This Wednesday, the Government of Cuba assured that the attacks by the United States (USA) on alleged boats with drugs in the Caribbean and Pacific Seas are “extrajudicial executions.”
“We condemn the continued extrajudicial executions by US forces in international waters in both the Caribbean and the Pacific,” wrote the island’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, on social networks.
Rodríguez indicated that this action represents a “serious violation of International Law and human rights”, which also “maintains a permanent threat to peace, security and stability in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
Likewise, he reiterated that the use of force “indiscriminately and illegally” by Washington while “does not address the roots of illicit drug trafficking to the United States.”
Likewise, he stated that the North American country is the “main drug market in the world” and “where the money of drug traffickers is laundered with impunity and with the complicity of several of its politicians.”
It should be noted that the US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, reported a new attack on a ship that was supposedly transporting drugs in the Eastern Pacific, near Colombia, with the justification that “we will locate and destroy all ships that have the intention of trafficking drugs to the United States to poison our citizens.”
The US empire continues with the threat against Venezuela, by hinting at a possible land incursion with the excuse of combating drug trafficking, since, according to Donald Trump, the sea is already controlled.
