“Cuba: The Doctrine of Lies” will be presented at Florida International University

HAVANA, Cuba.- The Management and Advanced Research Center (MARC) Pavilion of the Florida International University (FIU) will host next January 30, at 6:00 in the afternoon, the presentation of the book Cuba: The Doctrine of Lies (Cuba: The Doctrine of the Lie), by Dr. Orlando Gutiérrez-Boronat, coordinator of the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance.

The book is the culmination of a deep and methodical investigation into the nature of totalitarianism. Through an approach to the history of Cuba, a paradigm of the radical left worldwide, it helps to disprove false notions about what life was like on the Island before January 1959.

Likewise, it reveals the destructive ideology that socialism entails and explains how the alleged Agrarian Reform served to disguise the structuring of a police state that consolidated totalitarianism and influenced the ideological scene in America.

Using as references interviews with important personalities, research in reliable sources and extensive knowledge of the history of the largest of the Antilles, Cuba: The Doctrine of the Lieis a vital contribution not only to understand how totalitarianism works, but also to learn about the untold history of an island that, before the advent of Fidel Castro, registered one of the highest rates of development in Latin America.

On the eve of the first presentation of the book, which took place last December at the American Museum of the Cuban Diasporain Miami, Boronat explained to NTD: “The book is based on a deep historical and conceptual investigation on how what was established in Cuba in 1959 was not a socialist movement that emerged from the people, but rather an occupation of Cuba for the benefit , for the use of a humane control agenda that goes far beyond Cuba.”

The political scientist, born in Havana in 1965, is a doctor in Philosophy and International Studies from the University of Miami. In addition, he has a postgraduate and bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Communications from Florida International University.

He has also posted The invisible republic, Towards the great nation Y A nation in search of a stateamong other titles.
